Low Temperature Aquastat for Beacon Morris KickSpace Heaters
Low Temperature Aquastat Assembly is a replacement part for Beacon Morris Twin-Flo III KickSpace Heaters
Please Note: 3024-1 is a special repair / replacement part, a standard aquastat (#3024) is an included component of all Twin-Flo Kick Space Heaters by Beacon Morris. You do not need to buy this aquastat when buying a new kick space heater because it is included with the new heater.
The Beacon Morris 3024-1 is special because it is a Low Temperature Aquastat Assembly. 3024-1, is just the thing you may need when running lower water temperatures as you may have in a solar system or when using hot water designed with a temperature set for a radiant heating. This control has a pre-set "cut in" at 120°F.
The 3024-1 may be used to replace the standard aquastat that comes with a Beacon Morris Kick Space Heater when utilizng a low temperature hydronic supply source such as solar heated or radiant low temperature hot water.
The AQUASTAT is a thermostat that senses the water temperature in the piping system. It signals the fan in the Kick Space Heater to turn on or off accordingly. 3024-1 is the Low Temperature Aquastat Assembly for Beacon Morris Twin-Flo III Hydronic Kick Space Heaters, it switches (makes contact) at 120°F. The 3024-1 switch is for use with low temperature hydronic applications such as solar or radiant heating water temps.
Please note: a higher temperature aquastat is available from us for normal hydronic boiler water temperatures (180° F). It is part #3024 and operates at 140°F.
About Hydronic Heating / Boiler System, Water Temperatures
The normal operating temperature depends on the type of system being used. A hot water baseboard system normally will be set at 180° F supply water temperature. A radiant floor system can vary widely with a heated water supply temperature from 90°F to 130°F depending on what type of installation, construction design and material being used for construction, such as; carpeting, hardwood flooring, concrete slab, ceramic tile and so on.
About and Why Kickspace Heaters?
Kickspace heaters are the space-saving alternative to hot water baseboard. Designed to fit inconspicuously under a cabinet, in the floor, on or in the wall, kickspace heaters are ideal for hard to heat areas such as foyers, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Hot water from the home's boiler is circulated through the kickspace unit and the fan gently blows heated air into the room. The homeowner simply selects the fan speed, then the unit turns on and off automatically according to the pre-set aquastat and the heating demand.
Twin-Flo III ® kickspace heaters are your ideal solution wherever space is limited:
• Under cabinets
• In kitchens, baths and foyers
• Under stair risers and windows
