BSP15 - Battery Backup Sump Pump - 12 Volt, for Emergencys
The BSP15 by Blue Angel Pumps - Is a 12-Volt Battery Backup Sump Pump that is designed to work for you when the power doesn't!
To protect your property, use this 12V Battery Backup Sump Pump kit to create an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) for your basement or crawl space sump pump operation. Water damage is costly and frequently leads to a lot of other problems, like mold.
The BSP15 - Battery Backup Sump Pump fits next to the main AC pump and automatically begins pumping during a power outage, when the main pump fails or when water flow exceeds the capacity of the main pump. Its unique monitoring system sounds an alarm when maintenance is needed or a problem arises. A light on the display panel will indicate the cause of the alarm.
Accidents do happen - they can happen in many ways
• Appliances, pumps, tanks and heaters do fail - water heaters, well tanks and heating expansion tanks and boilers wear out and leak.
• Laundry tubs, sinks and toilets can overflow.
• Sewer and septic lines often back up during power outages and storms.
• Hoses and pipes can break.
• Power outages and blackouts fail normal sump pumps.
• Water from dehumidifers and condensation from air conditioners can get loose for any number of reasons.
• Storm water from clogged gutters or a garden hose left on too long can send water through a basement wall.
Some of this type of trouble is preventable with the right equipment in place. It is important to have a sump pump that keeps going when the going gets tough!
Note about the battery - Use only a new fully charged 12 volt deep cycle battery. Battery sizes that will fit into the battery box are 24C, 24VCM, 27C, 27CM and 27F.
BATTERY IS NOT INCLUDED. Due to logistics, we do not sell the type of battery that is required to be used with the battery back-up sump pump. 12 Volt deep cycle batteries are commonly available. This type of battery is heavy, you can normally buy a battery near you. Your best value for a battery is through local sourcing, look for this type of battery where you would get an automotive or marine battery.
