   Answer: The state of California legally requires us to put that Prop 65 warning on our hoses. Prop 65 is The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. It must be on all garden hoses sold in California as well as numerous other products that contain any one of the chemicals detailed on the Prop 65 list.
2. Question: What substance is in the hose that puts it on the Prop 65 list?
   Answer: The brass couplings on our hoses do have trace amounts of lead. Lead is one of the thousands of substances on the list. Lead must be added for the brass to be malleable and shaped into the couplings. Lead is the only substance that can be added to brass in order to do this.

couplings. Some Industrial Rubber hoses can stay
flexible in extreme weather conditions, handle
hot water up to 180° F, and withstand over 500 lbs
burst pressure.
