AS-CK, 2 Cartridge Arsenic Reduction Kit
American Plumber AS-CK replacement water filter set includes two filters for the AS-301E three stage arsenic reduction water filtration system. These filter cartridges reduce Iron, Manganese, Hydrogen Sulfide, Arsenic III and Arsenic V and have a capacity of approximately 1000 gallons. EPM-10 is not included in this set. Product Specifications:
IMS-10 cartridge (black with blue cap) removes Iron Manganese and Hydrogen Sulfide.
GFM-10 (black with black cap) removes AS III and AS V.
These filter cartridges should not be used to treat water with more than 50ppb total aresnic.
pH range of 6.5 to 8.5.
Temperature range of 40-100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Maximum capacity of 1,000 gallons at .6 GPM.
Instructions for Replacing Filter Cartridges:
The life of these filter cartridges is approximately 1,000 gallons or 12 months. Cartridge life depends on filter life, usage, and water conditions. change in taste, color, and flow of filtered water indicates that it is time to replace the cartridge.
- Turn off cold water supply to system and press red pressure relief button.
- Unscrew and remove bottom of filter housing. Locate and remove large o-ring, wipe clean of lubricant, and set aside. Repeat for second and third housings.
- Discard used filter cartridges. Using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth, scrub the bottom of filter housings, o-ring grooves, and caps with dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly. Fill botoom of each housing 1/3 full with water. Add 1 tablespoon of household bleach and scrub to disinfect.
- Lubricate o-rings with clean silicone grease. Insert each o-ring in groove and press into place. (This step is important to ensure a proper housing seal. Make sure each o-ring is seated level in its groove or leaking may occur!)
- Screw bottom of housings with bleach water onto caps without filter cartridges and hand tighten. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
- Turn on water supply. Let faucet run for about 10 seconds, then turn off faucet and let stand for 20-30 minutes.
- Turn on faucet and allow bleach water to run out (about 3-5 minutes)
- Turn off water supply to system and press pressure relief button. Remove bottom of housings and empty out water.
- Insert each filter cartridge in bottom of appropriate filter housing.
- Screw bottom of housings onto caps and hand-tighten. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Make certain cap standpipe slips into cartridge.
- Reset effective life indicator to 1000 gallons.
- Turn on water to system and press pressure relief button. Let faucet run for 5 minutes to remove trapped air and carbon fines. Check system for leaks before leaving installation.
