Kingsford
In the 1920's, Henry Ford figured out how to turn the wood scraps from the production of Model T's into charcoal briquettes. E.G. Kingsford, a relative of Ford's, helped Ford to establish a site for a charcoal manufacturing company, and it was named in his honor. Today, Kingsford is still the leading brand of charcoal sold in the US.
