Cherne Industries was founded in 1953 after its founder, a plumber, made a mistake in one of his projects. Instead of ripping three floors of plumbing apart to fix his mistake, Lloyd Cherne invented the test-ball idea that still profits the company bearing his name today.

Kwik 'n Sure Plug
Cherne Industries Kwik 'n SureŽ test plug is designed to work in all types of small diameter plastic, steel, iron, and copper pipe. Tightening is done by a wing nut. Wing Nut Mechanical Plugs can be used in long-term applications.
End of the Pipe Gripper Plugs
Cherne's most popular mechanical plug due to an extra-large wing nut combined with a natural rubber "O" ring. "End of the Pipe" Gripper Plugs are ideal for plumbing system tests.
